JAZZING UP THE SPONSOR LINKS...

Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

Hey Danny and Ze'ev. How difficult would it be to "jazz up" the sponsor links?

I was thinking that a more styled font would help. Also the ability to center the text --
without adding symbols on the side? And perhaps even a box that's more consistent
with the adjacent DP box.

Just a thought. What do you guys think?

Hmm, what do you mean by sponsor links? Oh wait >_< I know what you're saying now

Yea, thats a good idea I think. Instead of having really long links it would be nice to have nice short to the point links. Even if it visualy hacked off all but the base site, I think it would look alot nicer

Not sure if what Im thinking of is the same thing as you Jerry >_<

Hi Zach,

Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

I was actually referring to the sponsorship ads that you can buy for FIVE BUCKS a month
to promote any business of your choice.

As of now those ads (while still a great deal) are "bland" looking text ads next to a Downline
Partners banner.

Oh alright now we're on the same page Roll Eyes

I agree. I like the banners, they look fine and are shown enough.
But I must admit the text ads are a tad bland, and very easy to miss
entirely when scanning a page (as most people do)

Centered Text would be a nice added touch and easy to do, as well as
a few different styles and colors as you suggested.

Perhaps instead of changing the ad itself we could just get a slightly
more grabbing heading. The headings are so small they're very easy to
miss. Even if the font was just a size or two larger and nothing more I
think that would be a nice addition

Thanks for clearing that up friend, I was way off lol

I can't really change the font or look of the text much because this font setup enables us to know for sure the amount of space that each character take so that we don't end up with lines of text that are longer than others as that would destroy the design of the ads.

for example...

IJJ
AOP

both have 3 characters but one takes more space than the other. So we have to use that font in order to control the width of the ad using character count, the same goes for the title. If you want to make the headline bigger, try making it all CAPS... it should help. The current size of the headline text allows for more characters.

we'll have shorter links later, can't go in details about it right now Wink

Hey Guys,

Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

I was thinking that even if you only had one font, but perhaps not as plain(bland). I don't
know maybe like a Georgia bold (something like that) set against a more colorful background.

Didn't mean to open a can of worms.

Just thought if there were some way to "jazz" up the box, it might grab more attention
for the advertiser (sponsor) and generate more revenue for DP.

I am also looking forward to the new tools...see some exciting times unfolding.

nah all the other fonts cause formatting issues, this is the only one we can use there. I'll see if there's something I can do to improve the look... what style are you using? there's 9 different designs you know Smiley

Regarding the centralize of the Sponsor Links text, I was thinking of that when we first built that.
We might have that feature later on, but can't promise if or when it's gona be.
There is a lot of other work going on towards some great tools so I am not sure we'll get to that part Smiley

Thanks guys,

Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

I understand! You guys have plenty on the table already.

Can't wait to see what you have in store for us and DP.

I was aware of the 9 styles. I'm currently using the blue-white.

Would you suggest something else?

Yeah Zach,

Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

I think it's actually black and gold (with green).

Anyway thanks. I switched and the ad does look better.

I do find reading on the black background a bit more difficult. All the same, I think
it makes for a classier looking page.

All the best,
