The new tools are coming!

The time has come to finally shed some light on the tools that we've been working on during the past few months.

We've been online for almost a year now and things are going pretty well so far. However there's something going on that is slowing our growth.

Everyone want to promote their own programs inside downline partners but they are not allowed to. People are not interested in giving up whatever they were doing in the past to promote Downline Partners and hope that their program may be supported later on. This became quite obvious when we saw all the spam attempts made in the forums and the popularity of our program submission feature.

People want to be able to add their programs to Downline Partners instantly. Also, when you think about it, the people who are surfing the traffic exchange programs are also interested in promoting "their" programs, that's why they use the traffic exchange in the first place. So Downline Partners is not that interesting to these people unless they are members of the programs that are currently supported.

So... How can we fix this without destroying the teamwork aspect of the website? After all, if everyone was allowed to promote their programs in the forums, we would just end up with a spam haven that no one would be interested in and the whole concept of teamwork would become ineffective.

Well here's the solution that we found...

We have created an advertising system called Sponsor Links that will enable you to list any website of your choice within your Downline Partners website. Your ads will be displayed on most of your promotional pages and even in the forums. So the visitors you send to your downline Partners website or forums will see your ads throughout the website and if they join downline Partners, they will then see your ads in their members area. Your Sponsor links will be added on most pages of the website, including your public Dynamic Directory, your flash portal, your Referral Forums and your brand new Referral Internet TV portal.

Now with this system in place you will be able to use Downline Partners to promote anything you like and the teamwork aspect of the forum will remain intact because everyone will only see the ads of their sponsor. Everyone can work together and share generic advice and training about the industry in the forums and special generic pages can even be created that explains the industry and then recommends the Sponsor Link. This way that ad could be used by any member!

Isn't that wonderful?

But there's a catch...

Sponsor Links will not be free, and that's good for YOU. Let me explain...

For a long time I wanted to make an advertising coop where we would pool our money together and purchase insane amount of traffic that is then redistributed to everyone who participates. Well this is exactly what we are going to do.

Everyone who purchases at least one Sponsor Link will be immediately eligible for our traffic coop. The way it will work is that we will massively advertise downlinepartners.com without any sponsor id and all the members that join without a sponsor will be redistributed to the members who purchased one Sponsor Link or more. This way all the Traffic we get from the search engines will go to existing members.

Over time we should get decent search engine coverage because we have many promotional pages and many more are coming. We will invest heavily in search engine optimization and in pay per click ad programs such as Google AdWords and Yahoo Overture.

By the way... Here's a problem we have with pay per click advertising. If I were to tell you of a great formula that produce good results in Google Adwords, what would happen? Well... Everyone's going to try to duplicate it and bid for the same keyword. So… We would all be bidding against each other, thus raising the cost of each click. It doesn't make much sense does it? So what I'll do instead is create pay per click advertising campaigns myself and redirect the new members under existing members who purchased Sponsor Links.

Who knows... If this goes well enough, we might be able to move to television commercials and other effective yet expensive advertising mediums. What we will be able to do with this will depend on the amount of support that we get from you. The more Sponsor Links that we sell, the more resources we will have therefore the more we will be able to do for you.

Also... Running this new Sponsor Links system is going to be expensive for us and that's why we can't do it for free. Along with the Sponsor Links and the traffic coop we are going to launch our new Internet TV portal. There are many high quality videos in there and MANY more to come so we will need a very good and fast dedicated web hosting solution to handle the load and that's not cheap. However the good news is that this investment will make the whole Downline Partners website a lot faster and more stable for everyone. So everyone wins and all it's going to cost you is $5/month per links.

• You get to customize your Downline Partners website with any website that you want. An unlimited amount of Sponsor Links can be purchased which will rotate from page to page.
  
  
• You get your very own Internet TV portal and it displays YOUR ads next to the videos. Each video page can be used to refer people to your downline Partners website so you can target many different keywords!
  
  
• Participation in our new traffic coop. Note that this is not just traffic but signups. DownlinePartners.com will display your referral ids for the supported programs as well as your sponsor links and that until someone joins your team! Then the next member in line for a signup will be displayed.

I was wondering if the upgrades could include a 'purge'' of inactive downline members?.

A nice letter asking if they would like their account deleted as they clearly have other opportunities they want to pursue and wishing them all the best sometimes provokes people into action

What does everyone think? Anyone who hasn't logged in for 6 months would be a definite 'inactive' in my mind

nah, no need to kick people off for nothing. Inactive members will continue to receive emails from us and who knows, they might like one of the programs that will be added to DownlinePartners in the future and get started. Just keep promoting, work with your active members and forget about the inactive ones. From time to time, you should see some of them come to life

We will only delete the members whose email address isn't working anymore.
