Seasons Greetings, I received this in an email from one of my upliners and I feel it is applicable.

"Broke people work by the hour. Rich people work by the month. Broke people want to know that after 1 hour of work they have something to show for it. Rich people find broke people who think like that and make them their employees."

Good one, i love it! Smiley thanks for sharing.

I also like how Brian Tracy puts it...

"Those without goals are doomed forever to work for those who do".

They are good quotes.

But often we can shoot ourselves in the foot without realising it. We are all stuck initially with our built-in genetics and overall personality type. So we tend to gravitate towards the things that appeal to US., the things that WE like doing.

Thats not the way to success in marketing. Difficult though it can be, you need to try and look at things from other points of view.

For example, I have absolutely no interest in women's cosmetics. So without realising it I probably tend to ignore/filter out, business opportunities that relate to that industry. Someone else could be making a bundlle with an adsense site devoted to Mary Kay face creams for all I know.

Another aspect is that the internet is so 'rich' in opportunities.,This makes it too easy to dump a biz-op you are working, too early. It appears so easy to find something that seems to be better, that we tend to 'move-on', never achieving anything. And to-days culture of instant gratification doesn't help either.

Real success takes real effort. How many years of self-denial and training does it take a top athelete to win a Gold Medal at the Olympics? Or do you think they just turn up on the day with a few weeks of eating healthy foods, and walking around the block to get their fitness level up, behind them?

Set youselve some ground rules. If you are just starting out, it could take a year before you start to see meaningful results. Thats 12 months, not 12 days. But its part of the learning process.

Often though, the solution is NOT to change the biz-op, but to change what YOU are doing with it.

If you've been promoting something on traffic exchanges for 3 months and haven't got a single sign-up, the problem may not be the biz-op. Definition of insanity: To keep on doing the same thing (or even more of it) and expecting a different result.

Great words rumple, I havent seen you around the forums too much which is a shame because those were some great words

People these days dont want to work towards anything meaningful it seems, the typical person just wants to work to stay in that same comfortable familiar zone. Internet marketing is great because as Ive personaly seen, even very young kids can make a killing with it. Its all about dedication and the willingness to admit when you're wrong about something

This industry is constantly changing, so dont ever tell yourself you know enough. Always strive to learn more and to actively apply that knowledge in whatever fields you focus on. The more actively you attempt to use and modify this knowledge, the more likely it is that you'll find something that really works for you

Anyways, awsome words Rumpel, I really hope to see you around these forums again some day. I look forward to sharing oppinions and simply chatting with you.
